How I started my own business and left my $70K full-time job within three months.
Hello 2016 me and my cubicle.
I sat at that desk for 50-60 hours per week for years getting the life sucked out of me, and got a $120 company branded Patagonia vest out of it.
Not too long after these were taken, I started exploring personal development and tried out a few entrepreneurial ventures. One of those ventures was a product based business that took off. I continued going to my cubicle every day and then came home and worked until after midnight on my own business. With the help of my wife, Alexandra, in the summer of 2017 I walked out of that office building for good.
Flash forward another year...
Here is a picture of us building an office space onto our house with 100% cash from the business we had started:
Years later, and I haven't looked back. No more office buildings, ridiculous work hours, and missed time with my kids. That's been replaced with weekday lunch dates, a completely flexible schedule, and a life that is 100% mine.
And now I can buy my own Patagonia gear. This time the more functional coat with sleeves...
